Signs of the Times

Rev. Marshall Ketchum in a Sermon in The Fallbrook Enterprise Fallbrook, California

One of the most amazing things ...is the way in which we often just barely miss the things which we seek and go far afield to find that which was close by all the time. For instance, we seek for peace and happiness and spend a lifetime building up lands and houses and wealth hoping to get happiness, and then find that happiness comes from simple things such as the love of our family, true friendships, and learning to be content.

We go far afield in an attempt to make friends only to find that true friendships result from sympathy and forgetting ourselves in the interests of others.
