More than thirty years ago my mother was healed of gallstones and of a severe nervous breakdown by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Her testimony appeared in the Sentinel, and she afterward became a practitioner, with her name listed in The Christian Science journal.

Through her healing I became interested in Christian Science. On page 369 of the textbook is the statement, "The prophylactic and therapeutic (that is, the preventive and curative) arts belong emphatically to Christian Science, as would be readily seen, if psychology, or the Science of Spirit, God, was understood." I am grateful for the protection I have received from contagion and from any ill effect following severe falls. When I have needed healing, God's help has always been available.

Recently I experienced a healing of extreme dizzy spells, in which I felt as though I were being thrown to the floor. The difficulty was completely overcome when I studied one of Mrs. Eddy's hymns (Poems, p. 13), particularly the lines,
