GOOD ALONE IS REAL

If we study the history and development of what is called religion, we find that mankind's first religious impulse seems to have been a fearful belief in the supernatural and mysterious. Belief in the power and reality of evil even today largely outweighs belief in the power and reality of good. Many people, of course, theoretically acknowledge the existence of a good God, but in actual practice they believe more strongly in the power and reality of evil. Not until the advent of Christian Science could it be said that evil's unreality had been correctly and scientifically explained.

Devil worship is no new thing. It is as old as the ages and obtains actively today. The religions of the Orient are perhaps more deeply involved in the worship and acknowledgment of evil. And yet there is not a single Christian teaching apart from Christian Science that does not in some way or form acknowledge the existence of evil as real.

Christ Jesus, the great Exemplar, taught the allness and oneness of God, good, and demonstrated it, but it remained for Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, to explain scientifically the unreal nature of evil and show how its unreality can be demonstrated.
