Ours is one of the most remarkable periods in the world's history. It is a time of tremendous change. None of us is capable of grasping the greatness of the changes that are taking place, or are about to take place, in the affairs of men and nations at this very moment. It is a thrilling and challenging thing to be alive today.

Like other times of destiny it is, in the passing, clouded with confusion and fear. Systems, customs, and views of life, which once seemed to be as solidly established as the earth itself, are now being challenged, repudiated, and frequently cast aside as useless or irrelevant.
