LIGHT

Fannie Patton

In blindness Bartimaeus sat
While Jesus was passing by.
His faith cried out, "Have mercy,"
And the Master heard his cry.

In gratitude and patient prayer
When darkness dimmed the light,
I touched the hem as love drew near,
And Christ restored my sight.
