Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Hastings Daily Tribune

Hastings, Nebraska (First Church).

Dedication services will be held at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Sunday, June 22.

The history of the Hastings church began in 1893 when a group of Christian Scientists met in their homes to read the Lesson-Sermons as given in the Christian Science Quarterly. As interest increased and attendance grew, the group held church services in a downtown building for a time, later scheduling their meetings again in the homes.
