NO UNYIELDING PROBLEMS

Too many times to leave room for doubt it has been proved by Christian Scientists that there is no incurable disease or distress. This is not to say that there are not times when the student of Christian Science comes up against problems which temporarily do not seem to yield to his application of the truth of being. What can be done about such situations? Does he have a sure method of approach available by which that which seems unyielding is made to yield?

"My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever" (Ps. 73: 26). God's help is ever present and never fails. There is nothing more certain of results than the scientific application of God's law of healing. This law, illustrated in the Bible through healings of all kinds, is made plain in the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. Such is the nature of this law and its beneficent effects that no amount of discouragement, anguish of heart, or distress of mind or body can deprive mankind of the capacity to use it and prove it.

Over the mantel of the fireplace in an English inn are these words: "Fear knocked at the door; faith answered; no one was there." Of the many characteristics of mortal consciousness antagonistic to well-being and health, the most basic is fear. But fear can be faced with faith, and faith will lead to the knowledge of Love's ever-presence, which casts out fear.
