In Psalms (92:1, 4) we read: "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High.... For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work."

I am grateful that my parents were led to Christian Science, thus giving me the blessed privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School. The lessons I learned there gave me wonderful protection through my school years.

About three years ago I became extremely ill one night with what appeared to be pneumonia. By morning the error seemed so acute I could hardly speak or breathe; and though I tried to work for myself, I could manage only to recall parts of "the scientific statement of being," as given on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. These I repeated and pondered, and in about two hours I was able to get up and call a practitioner for help. Nothing was asked as to what the trouble was, but I was assured help would be given. As I left the telephone gratitude for our loving practitioners filled my thoughts. I was grateful even for the telephone, which makes their help available the instant we call them. Two hours later, when a sister-in-law came to stay with me, I was completely healed and was having breakfast.
