SEEK PEACE OF MIND

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee," writes Isaiah (26:3). Thus the prophet answers seekers of all ages who ask the question, "Where is peace?" In his answer lies the solution to the unrest, anxiety, and fear that plague humanity today.

In their great need of peace and quiet untold numbers are seeking, through sources outside of themselves, surcease from pressure and burdens caused by the chaotic state of the world. Many are finding that release in the teachings of Christian Science and are learning that the long-sought dove of peace is really that dove which Mary Baker Eddy defines on page 584 of her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," purity and peace; hope and faith."

It is natural that in this Science is found the answer to every human problem, since it is the religion of Christ Jesus, who, in giving these words of comfort to his disciples, gave them also to all people and times. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace," he said. "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). The Master's entire life proved his oneness, or unity, with divine Mind, and it is his example and teaching which base Christian Science. Through the religious tenets of Christian Science its adherents pledge themselves to accept the Bible's inspired Word as their only guide to eternal Life, to acknowledge Christ as their Saviour, and to pray for that Mind to be in them "which was also in Christ Jesus."
