Christian Science has been a wonderful blessing to me, and I am very grateful that it came into my life with its many proofs of God's care and protection. I should like to tell of an experience I had when I first took up the study of Christian Science.

It was necessary for me to go out to work every day, as well as to do my own housework. One evening when I came home and had to do my washing I was feeling very sorry for myself, as I had no hot water in my house; whereas I had just come from a nice home, where I often went to clean. However, I began to know the truth about God's supply and to express gratitude for the cold water, the fire to heat it on, and the pans to put it in. I knew that all good is always present, and with that right thought I got on with my washing, which did not seem a bit of trouble.

In about ten days I received a letter from my landlord, saying he was going to install a hot water boiler for us. That demonstration of God's impartial love blessed the thirty people on our street, for in about a month's time we all had hot water in our houses. This proof was a wonderful help to me, and I thank God for His love and care. Not long after that we were led to move into a better house in more pleasant surroundings.
