"Many, O Lord my God, are...
"Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, ... if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered" (Ps. 40:5). The blessings I have received from having known Christian Science all my life are, indeed, more than can be numbered.
I was born with the help of a loving Christian Science practitioner, despite medical laws which said that my mother could never have a child. When I was very young I was quickly healed through Christian Science of the mumps and chicken pox. When I was nine I slammed the car door on one of my fingers. A practitioner was called, and the truth was realized that nothing had happened to God and therefore nothing could have happened to His idea, man. The pain stopped immediately. I was back in school in a day and a half, using the finger to write.
Four days before I graduated from grammar school I experienced severe pain in my stomach. Mortal sense argued that I would not be able to attend the graduation exercises. However, through help in Christian Science I was healed and was able to be at the exercises and to go to the beach the following week for a vacation.
