It is with a heart full of love and gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me and mine as a result of my study of Christian Science that I give this testimony.

I came into Christian Science through a wonderful healing. When my son was five months old he contracted what the doctor called congestion in his bronchial tubes. His breathing was labored, and no medication seemed to help him. A neighbor came in to visit me at that time, and when she saw my baby's condition she asked me if I would like to read something that might help him. I did not know then that she was a Christian Scientist, but I told her I would do anything that would help the child.

She went home and returned soon with Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. That was the first time I had ever seen the book. I took it to the baby's room and began to read the chapter on Prayer. After I had been reading for what seemed a very short time I felt as though God's presence was right there in that room. As I stopped reading to wonder about this I looked at my baby. For the first time in days his breathing was normal; he had been instantaneously healed.
