OUR SPIRITUAL CONTRIBUTION

Christ Jesus was blessed a hundredfold by his life of complete self-abnegation, and so must have been our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. The earnestness and spiritual devotion with which we today meet in our own consciousness the picture of a world in turmoil and recognize its complete unreality determines in a measure our consecration to good and our individual service to humanity.

Christian Science reveals the true, subjective nature of existence. Consciousness being primal, our world, our life, our sense of being, is what we make it. Like disease, the world picture is recognized as an erroneous image in thought. Being subjective, that is, within consciousness, we are able to unsee its false claims, destroy its false claims, destroy its power to alarm, and from the altitude of Truth maintain the reality of being, wherein we find the peace that passeth understanding.

It is only as one thinks of himself as a person dwelling in a disturbed and warring environment that one loses his spiritual and mental dominion. When one believes that he is surrounded and faced by evil, warring material elements, he is thinking objectively. He is believing in and accepting the material objectifications of mortal mind as real. In Science we see that one is never "in danger" unless he believes that he is in matter. Christian Science reveals that because all is Spirit, we live, move, and have our being in Spirit right now.
