TRUE PEACE

"What is man, that thou art mindful of him?" (Hebr. 2:6.) Here is a significant question, for only as we understand man's spirituality, his unity with God. and demonstrate this oneness scientifically can we hope to know enduring peace on earth, peace not of men's making, but of the Father's.

For centuries various philosophies and creeds have attempted to explain man and his relation to God, but always from a material basis. They have erroneously contended that man is an imperfect material organism, controlled by mortal mind and subject to all the frustrations, limitations, and inharmonies of mortality. While admitting that God is Spirit and that man is His image and likeness, these contentions insist that man is made from dust.

Undaunted by this morass of misunderstanding and contradiction, Mars Baker Eddy, prepared by God and inspired by His divine law of Love and Life, searched the Scriptures and discovered that man is not a mortal, but is a spiritual idea of God, Mind; that the Father is mindful of him because He is his Father, his Mother, his Life. Divine Love further revealed to her that the Father, who, according to Jeremiah, loves His son "with an everlasting love," is All-in-all, the only creator, power, presence, and cause.
