DAILY COMMUNION
Communion with God reveals health, power, and affluence. The perfection of man as God's image and likeness is discovered by the one who, looking away from matter and material sense, sees man as the reflection of Spirit. In the book of Revelation we read (4:6). "And before the throne [of God] there was a sea of glass like unto crystal." Glass is a reflector. As we approach nearer and nearer to the understanding of God, divine Love, we see good reflected everywhere. Clear as crystal, the true state of consciousness in which we exist as God's reflection is ours here and now, and we find it through our daily communion with God.
All real being is the spiritual conception of Mind, and this Mind is Love and Truth and Principle. In our approach to God we learn to cast aside preconceived or educated notions which originate in human opinion or material belief. We find God revealed to us through the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings, and in these books God is defined as the perfect God, expressed by the perfect man.
Mistaken theories concerning God lead to the belief that mortality, sin, disease, and death are a part of man. True communion uncovers these falsities and restores the perfect state. When faith finds a foothold in Truth there is no uncertain result, no doubt concerning the healing efficacy of Truth and Love, and no fear for the safety of man. Have we lost our understanding of God? No! If we daily commune with God and faithfully fulfill our sonship with Him, we then stand as living witnesses to the supremacy of good.
