The first line in the Christian Science...

The first line in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (Pref., p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings," has always been a great help to me. Christian Science has met my every need when I have been obedient to its teachings and have done my part, which I am learning to do more readily each day in overcoming sensitiveness and practicing humility when a false sense of self wants to rule. Mrs. Eddy in speaking of humility in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 356) says, "It is the genius of Christian Science."

The year 1944 found me very fearful because of hemorrhages and loss of weight. The doctor advised a major operation, but could not promise that it would be successful. Christian Science was brought to my attention, and in less than a month after I had talked with a Christian Science practitioner and decided to turn wholeheartedly to God, all fear left me. The hemorrhages ceased, and I began to take on weight. This healing took place over five years ago; I have enjoyed health and happiness ever since. My gratitude to the consecrated practitioner for her beneficent work and for her constant, untiring willingness to help when needed knows no bounds.

Participation in church activities has helped me to grow in the understanding of God, and the blessed privilege of class instruction has been a constant help and inspiration.—(Mrs.) Margaret Lucille Mueller, Cleveland, Ohio.
