For many years Christian Science...
For many years Christian Science has been a great help, protection, and support to me in working out many and varied problems. It was brought to my notice by a friend who had had an instantaneous healing of a nervous breakdown. I immediately took up the study of this Science, and it has been wonderful how I have been guided along the way from sense to Soul. Many times divine Mind's guidance has been contrary to the way I might have humanly planned, but always I have found the right way when I have followed divine guidance.
I am deeply grateful that through the study of Christian Science I have gained a clearer understanding of God and of man's inseparable relationship to Him. This understanding has been most helpful in rearing our little family. We have had wonderful proofs of the allness of God, good, and the nothingness of error. I have seen influenza, as well as many so-called children's ills, such as measles, whooping cough, and mumps, healed by the application of the truths which Christian Science reveals. At one time one of our boys had a sore mouth, which was diagnosed by a dentist as an infection that would take many months to clear up. The condition was, however, healed in three days through Christian Science treatment.
One healing for which I shall always feel grateful was of grief and sadness when my mother passed on. These two words, "Jesus wept" (John 11:35), kept coming to my thought over and over again. For a time there did not seem to be much comfort in them; then I saw that Jesus must have wept not because Lazarus had died, but because of the disbelief of those who had not understood what he had tried to teach them of the nothingness of death. I experienced such a clear realization of the allness of Life that I was healed immediately. I am grateful for the help I have received from practitioners and for the work they are doing to aid those in need of healing and comfort. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her love and loyalty in giving us Christian Science. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for the privilege of class instruction.—(Mrs.) Eva I. Moorhouse, Paddington. Brisbane, Australia.
