Inscribed upon the wall of the foyer of the Church of Christ, Scientist, of which I am a member, is the following verse from Psalms (100:4): "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise." This message and the loving advice of a Christian Science practitioner to be grateful for Life, Truth, and Love are inspirations to me to express gratitude through the channels provided.

I have had many physical healings and been uplifted spiritually through the study and application of the rules of Christian Science. I am especially thankful for the realization that God is my strength; also for His protection, provision, and guidance.

When I longed for a definite outline of study for the Bible a number of years later, Christian Science was presented to me, and I learned that "Truth, Life, and Love are the only legitimate and eternal demands on man, and they are spiritual lawgivers, enforcing obedience through divine statutes" (Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 184). I saw that God is my strength and that I could do whatever it was my duty to do, and no harm could come to me. Since that time I have spent long hours of constant activity in the business world, besides caring for a home and family.
