"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." These first words of the Preface to "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy have been proved true to me and to many others who are seeking Truth.

Many years ago I was suffering from an ailment diagnosed by doctors as exophthalmic goiter, which was said to be incurable. A kind and loving neighbor came one day to see me and realizing my great need offered me "a cup of cold water" by telling me of Christian Science. She said that it was a religion of Love, that Love is God, that with God all things are possible, and that I could be healed.

I had a home, a kind and loving husband, and two precious daughters; and I had a great desire to live and care for them. So with the help of this friend I engaged a practitioner to work for me. Her understanding of the truth was so clear that in a short time I was entirely free from this trouble. This healing, which took place in 1912, was my first proof of the presence of the healing Christ. There has been no return of the ailment, and material remedies have held no temptation for me. I am now over eighty-six years old.
