Job said (3:25), "The thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me."
As a child of twelve years of age I listened to the weekly rehearsals of the physical conditions of a friend of the family who was passing on from consumption of the lungs, and I was filled with fear of this disease, as well as of death.
A few years later I contracted a severe cold, which developed into consumption of the lungs. As time went on I was examined by three physicians. After the last examination I was advised to live in the country and lead an out-of-door life. I was indeed a very unhappy young man.
