Text: "And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease" (Matt. 10:1).

Could anything be so certain and plain as this statement? Jesus unmistakably gave to his followers the command to heal all manner of disease, and it has been left almost completely to the Christian Science church to recapture this primitive, pristine, and pure Christianity as the Master gave it to us. We are indebted to Mary Baker Eddy and the church she founded for reminding us that healing was of first importance in the mission and message of Jesus. I have now read, after twenty-five years in the ministry, everything that Mrs. Eddy ever wrote, and I have annually given a message on Christian Science for the past twelve years. . . .
