For over twenty years I wore double-lens glasses. I put them on the first thing in the morning and took them off the last thing at night. Through prayer and through reading and pondering passages from the Bible and from our textbook, Science and Health, and the other writings of Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed of the need for wearing glasses. This healing was gradual and took quite a long time. Sometimes I was discouraged to the point of giving up, but I persisted. The articles and testimonies which I read in the periodicals and the testimonies given at the Wednesday evening testimony meetings all had a part in helping me to gain my freedom. I can now see to read without the help of glasses. This healing took place over two years ago. A painful and crippling condition in my fingers and hands has also been healed.

"Every law of matter or the body, supposed to govern man, is rendered null and void by the law of Life, God. Ignorant of our Godgiven rights, we submit to unjust decrees, and the bias of education enforces this slavery" (Science and Health, pp. 380, 381).

My gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, can best be expressed by my daily efforts to put into practice what I have learned in Christian Science.—(Miss) Isabelle W. Sanderson, Hollywood, California.
