NO BOUNDARIES

Mary Baker Eddy writes on page 282 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures": "The real Life, or Mind, and its opposite, the so-called material life and mind, are figured by two geometrical symbols, a circle or sphere and a straight line. The circle represents the infinite without beginning or end; the straight line represents the finite, which has both beginning and end."

What represents life to us the straight line or the circle? If each day our experience is one of a decreasing sense of life as finite, then we can be sure that we are moving in the direction of the unlimited vision of infinite Life, God, of boundless bliss, of unhampered freedom and harmony. Reality comprises the loving Father, giving all goodness without limitation or impoverishment, and the spiritual universe, including man, receiving constantly, infinitely, His abundant good.

To set one's sights on the unlimited horizon of Truth is true wisdom. The belief that there is a power opposed to God binds and centers thought on a false sense of existence, and such thought is restrictive. The boundless thought is centered on God. It requires subordination of the testimony of the material senses to the evidence of spiritual sense. Spiritual apprehension wakens the one who believes life to be material to perceive the boundlessness of spiritual life, to discover man's true course as that of reflecting God.
