TRUTH IS REVEALED

Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 174): "Truth is revealed. It needs only to be practised." All who from need for healing or from the consciousness of spiritual dearth humbly and honestly seek the Christ, Truth, can find it through the study of God's laws as revealed in Christian Science. Jesus said (John 8:12), "I am the light of the world," and (verses 31, 32), "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

The light and understanding of God's Word, which Jesus knew, and which made him the Christ, are here now in the teachings of Christian Science and lead us out of the darkness of materiality into the effulgence of Truth. They bring the recognition and demonstration of the impersonal, ever-present Christ, which reveals God as divine Principle and man as His perfect manifestation. Hence, it is the understanding of man's true existence as the spiritual idea of Mind, forever at one with God, which Jesus was always conscious of, that gives us dominion over every false belief, be it called wrongdoing, failure, sorrow, sickness, or suffering.

Mortals have been striving for many years for freedom, seeking every avenue of escape from sickness, sin, and death. Jesus had the remedy for these conditions, but human consciousness has not always followed his commands. Jesus showed the way, and Christian Science explains it today. Through its Christianly scientific interpretations of the teachings of the Master, darkness, doubt, uncertainty and fear, disease and pain, begin to fade from human consciousness. Science reveals the true creator and true creation, God as divine Principle and man as His perfect manifestation. This changes one's concept of life from the false material basis to the true spiritual one. Human problems are found to be the outward manifestations of unreal mortal belief. Therefore in the case of disease it is not primarily a discordant physical condition, but a fearful belief, which one needs to be freed from, a belief that there is something in addition to the all-presence and all-power of God, good.
