THE READING ROOM
I entered
, knowing that my need was met;
That He who hears before we call had heard.
The voice of mortal mind was silenced here;
I found an answer in the printed word.
Love welcomes all and bids them: Come, rejoice!
Rejoice to see unfold God's perfect plan,
To know a deeper love, a holier aim,
To find, in prayer, a higher sense of man!
