I first heard of Christian Science when I was a child and was traveling by train to a distant city for a music examination. My aunt, who accompanied me, perceiving my extreme nervousness, asked if I would like help in Christian Science. It was explained that as God's child, reflecting the qualities of Mind, which alone governs man, I could achieve whatever was required of me. I accepted the offer of help, which was lovingly given, and with a changed thought I entered the examination room full of confidence. The result was a happy and peaceful experience in which I gained a high percentage in my marks.

This proof of the receptivity of the child consciousness in accepting the pure milk of the Word has been a source of inspiration to me whilst teaching pupils in the Christian Science Sunday School who are preparing for school examinations. I am very grateful for this. When the omnipotence of divine Mind is recognized, and one turns to the loving Father humbly, gratefully, and trustingly, its potency never fails to meet our needs.

For the past thirty years I have relied on Christian Science as my only help in solving physical difficulties and other problems. The first proof of healing was the overcoming of so-called chronic catarrh and hay fever. The condition was healed through absent treatment by a practitioner whom I had never seen. Also an instantaneous healing of a displaced bone was experienced, thus proving the Principle demonstrated by Christ Jesus when the centurion believed, "and his servant was healed in the selfsame hour" (Matt. 8:13).
