I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. For forty years I have been protected by its healing and saving power, and I think it is high time to take this step in glorifying my heavenly Father.

In 1910 I had a severe attack of stomach trouble. Although I had help from a practitioner, it was almost a year before my healing came. One morning about two o'clock I called my wife and told her that I was having another attack. Getting "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, she began to read to me. As she was reading the words (Science and Health, p. 231), "What God cannot do, man need not attempt," I became unconscious, but in about twenty minutes I was normal again. I was healed and have had no return of the ailment.

I am grateful to God for healings of blood poisoning, indigestion, and a very bad heart condition. These were accomplished by my clinging steadfastly to the reference from Psalms (139:23, 24), "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." My wife was healed of gall bladder trouble, of liver spots, ptomaine poisoning, and yellow jaundice; also a badly sprained ankle was healed overnight with the faithful work of a practitioner.
