For over twenty years I suffered from paralysis of the bowels and constipation, the aftereffects of a severe attack of typhus. During this time I resorted to healing methods of every kind, but was not cured; at the most I found only temporary relief. About eighteen years ago I came in contact with Christian Science. Through the treatment of a practitioner I was freed from this ailment in a short time, and the healing has proved to be permanent, for since then the bowels have functioned normally.

At the beginning of 1948 I was suddenly aware of hemorrhage of the kidneys, which filled me with great fear, for I had formerly suffered from a severe case of nephritis. Although the study of Christian Science had taught me that life is not dependent upon blood, I was not successful in overcoming my fear. I turned to a practitioner for help, which was immediately forthcoming, with the result that error yielded to Truth in two days. Since then there has been no evidence of hemorrhage.

For these healings and also for other blessings, including those of a financial nature, I am very grateful to God, who led me to Christian Science. I am also grateful to the practitioners for their constant readiness to help and for their great patience.
