With a heart full of gratitude to God I add my testimony to the thousands I have read in our periodicals during many years.

I had the great privilege of being brought up in Christian Science from early childhood. As I attended the Christian Science Sunday School my desire to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy grew, and I began to love the Bible. I can testify to many wonderful healings for myself and my family, every one a proof that to follow the rules of Christian Science, given to us by our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, is to manifest the kingdom of heaven right where we are. Christian Science was very helpful to me during my college experience.

Many years ago, when for a time I felt happy and secure in a world full of material work and pleasure and it seemed to me not necessary to study daily the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, I became very ill and was unable to use my legs. I had to learn the significance of the words of the First Commandment (Ex. 20:3), "Thou shalt have no other gods before me," and therefore not serve two masters. As soon as I truly accepted the teachings of Christian Science as the only way of life for me and realized Mrs. Eddy's place as Leader of our movement, I was healed. This experience brought me closer to God, and I became a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church. Class instruction was a great help, and I am very thankful for this privilege.
