During my study of Christian Science...

During my study of Christian Science I have been the recipient of many physical healings, and false character traits and grief have been overcome. Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for the kindness, patience, and help given by the practitioner at this time.

One day when I was greatly perturbed, and while I was wondering what to do, I was led to read the following passage from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 323): "Through the wholesome chastisements of Love, we are helped onward in the march towards righteousness, peace, and purity, which are the landmarks of Science," and other statements on the same page. These gave me courage, and I was able to press on. The following healing, which occurred during this period, proved to me conclusively that God is truly omnipresent and omnipotent.

One day I was in a hurry and full of anxiety, and while I was closing the double overhead garage doors, my hand became caught under the doors. They are extremely heavy and drop with great force, so I am in the habit of checking the fall by holding them as they come within my reach. My hand was under the full weight of the doors, and it was necessary to raise them before the hand could be released. As it was released I caught a glimpse of the flattened appearance, and at once mortal mind started the clamor of pain, broken bones, et cetera. Before moving I kept saying, "No, man is not made up of bones." As I started into the house I felt faint; however, I did reach my bedroom and remained on my feet.
