I have received many blessings from Christian Science since I took up its study nearly thirty years ago. The first healing I remember is of some painful lumps that appeared on my wrist, making it very difficult for me to use my hand. With the help of a practitioner the lumps disappeared overnight and have never returned.

Several years ago I was in an automobile accident, and my right hand, arm, and wrist were badly cut. I was taken to a hospital unconscious. Several stitches were taken and splints put around the wrist. When I regained consciousness, a doctor told me that because of the severity of the wounds there was very little chance of saving my arm. I asked for a Christian Science practitioner, who took up work for me at once. I never suffered the slightest pain, and in five weeks the healing was complete and I was again playing the piano and using my typewriter.

Some time ago I found myself slowly losing strength, becoming weaker each day, until I could barely get up out of a chair or off the bed. A strange numbness appeared in various parts of my body. I called a practitioner for help. When I talked with her three days later and told her that I was no better and was very fearful that I would have to go to a hospital, because I lived alone, she said firmly: "Now, I want you to start right this minute rejoicing because you are the perfect child of God and because you know that you are His perfect child. Just rejoice." I did my best to follow instructions and soon went to sleep.
