Rev. Dr. L. D. Gottschall in a sermon reported in the Tribune, Oakland, California

"A healthy mind is the assurance of a healthy body," was [the Reverend Dr. Gottschall's] statement. "You may have temporary relief from treating symptoms, but you have no assurance of a cure.

"It is not taking care of the body first, but of the mind which is most essential. Peace of mind and health are synonymous. God created you after His own image, and this image must be spiritual and mental, for God has 'no parts that men may see,'" Canon Gottschall declared.
