GOD'S BOUNTY IS FOR ALL

When my brother, like the prodigal,
Has strayed far from the fold
And wasted his inheritance, then,
Like the brother of old,
Should I bar my door to the wanderer
Or his repentance spurn?
No, I'd open wide my heart and arms
To welcome his return.

These words, "Son, thou art ever with me,
And all . . . I have is thine,"
Will stand forever. This bounty is
For all—for me and mine.
