Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Coldwater Daily Reporter

Coldwater, Michigan (First Church).

Coldwater's First Church of Christ, Scientist, held dedication services for its edifice recently. Morning and afternoon services were held. The reading of the history of the Christian Science movement in this city was a part of the service.

The Christian Science movement in Coldwater had its inception in 1902. It was started by a local woman who had received many benefits from the study of Christian Science. It is of interest to note that one of the testimonies cited by Mary Baker Eddy in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," was contributed by this same person.
