Several years ago I suffered from ulcers for which medicines were of no avail. The doctor sent me to a specialist, on whose advice I was X-rayed and treatment was given. However, I was not greatly benefited, and the difficulty returned. I struggled for more than a year, and then I turned to God for help. I was familiar with certain passages from the Bible, and I remembered having read in a Christian Science periodical, which I had found in the waiting room of a station, an account of a healing of sickness and sin through prayer.

I was led to contact a Christian Science practitioner through some friends who were Christian Scientists, and she lent me a copy of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. She made it clear that I should take up the study of this Science for myself, and I began to read the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly regularly. Through her realization of divine Love and my study, I was healed of ulcers, fevers, and sleeplessness. This happened over four years ago, and since that time these difficulties have not troubled me.

I was later healed of impatience, criticism, chronic sore throats, and of smoking and social drinking. I have also been healed of influenza, earache, sprained ankle, indigestion, and severe pain in the arms.
