"BEFORE THEY CALL"

"And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking; I will hear" (Isa. 65 : 24). This beautiful verse from the Bible, if considered thoughtfully, has deep comfort in its meaning. When it is first read, human reasoning may doubt the promise implied and ask, "How can there be an answer before the call?"

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, has included in the title of the textbook she wrote on this subject the words "Key to the Scriptures." It is through the study of this book, fully titled "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and the practice of the truths set forth in it that one gains the understanding which enables him to see clearly the meaning of many hitherto obscure passages of the Bible.

God, good, is omnipresent, Christian Science reveals. God and man, His idea, His image and likeness, are coexistent, inseparable. Wherever man is, there is God, though this fact may not be seen, understood, or appreciated by heretofore unenlightened mortals. The truth of God and man has stood through the ages. It has been expressed in the Scriptural writings for centuries.
