Although I had been interested...

Although I had been interested in Christian Science for some time, and a member of my family had been healed of a so-called incurable disease, I did not accept this Science for myself until I was suffering from a nervous disorder and acute rheumatism. I walked with the aid of a stick and was weary and discouraged. Then I realized the time had come for me to lean on God, and I immediately sought the help of a Christian Science practitioner. This assistance was lovingly given, the error rebuked, and I began to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly. In a very short time I was free. Since then I have led a very active life, and all my needs have been met.

I have had healings of corns, burns, sprained ankle, and a bruised hand, which was crushed between the sashes of a window. Some of these healings were met by the help of practitioners and others by my own understanding.

I am grateful for the encouragement of friends, for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for all the activities of the Christian Science organization. Class instruction from a consecrated teacher has been a great blessing. The lectures are always a source of great joy. On two occasions I was healed while listening to a lecture. I am indeed grateful for Christian Science.—(Miss) A. Elizabeth Mercy, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, England.
