Through the healing I am about to relate I have been taught the truth of Mrs. Eddy's statement (Science and Health, p. 381), "Think less of the enactments of mortal mind, and you will sooner grasp man's God-given dominion."

As the result of a business contact with a Christian Scientist, I was led to take up the study of Science. At this time my outlook on life was not a cheery one, as my face was covered with a skin disease called acne. I had been on a diet for almost a year and had consulted four skin doctors. One tried electric needles to alleviate the discomfort, but the result was unsatisfactory. I found my supply diminishing, although there was no improvement in health and appearance. I commenced to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which was lovingly lent to me by my business friend. Needless to say, my hunger for the truth was so great that every available minute was given to the perusal of the textbook. I gratefully recall my first meal eaten without hesitancy or thinking of diet.

My mother could see my disposition and attitude change and remarked on it. To me patience and humility have their rich reward. Today I receive compliments on the appearance of my skin. I am grateful to have met this friend and also for her encouragement.
