For a long time now I have wanted to express my gratitude for Christian Science. It has been the pearl of great price to me, not only for the many healings I have had through it, but also for the comfort it has brought me.

I first became interested in this Science at the time of my marriage, about six years ago. Due to inharmonious relations at home, I was suffering from what seemed to be a nervous breakdown, complicated by a kidney infection of some ten years' standing. In desperation I sought a practitioner, who promised to help me and who assured me that since God could not suffer, I, as in reality God's reflection, could not suffer either.

The healing of the kidney infection was instantaneous. The nervous condition was slow to yield, but the healing eventually came. I had been troubled by uncontrollable shaking. One night the difficulty was particularly severe. My husband asked if I would like him to read to me from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and, if so, where he should start. I replied that he could read any part of it, as I knew the words of truth would heal me. In ten minutes the shaking ceased, and it has never returned.
