The Bible tells us (Ps. 100:4), "Enter into his gates with thanks-giving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name." I am indeed grateful for the many blessings which have come about through my study and application of Christian Science. My first healing, after one treatment by a Christian Science practitioner, was of a nervous condition and a heart ailment. Ptomaine poisoning was healed instantaneously when I called on a Science friend for help.

When I found that my employment was not conducive to my progress in Christian Science, I asked God what to do. Then I opened Mary Baker Eddy's book "Pulpit and Press" at page 82, lines 5–9, where the new woman is described. After reading the sentence, I knew that God had given me the courage to hand in my resignation, which I did. The windows of heaven opened and poured out a blessing full measure and running over. My supply was increased, and my understanding of our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, became of inestimable value to me. Our home was re-established, with many beautiful proofs of God's loving care. I shall never cease to be grateful. The social drinking habit was healed, also headaches, uncontrollable temper, and many other false traits of character.
