"Trust in the Lord with all thine...

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Prov. 3:5, 6). The truth of this Scripture has been proved to me many times since childhood. For the many blessings and healings I have had through Christian Science I am truly grateful, and I should like to tell of two healings which I had recently.

Although I had fifteen teeth pulled over a short period of time, I can truthfully say that there was no pain and no excess bleeding, although I had been considered a bleeder. During this time I had the help of a Christian Science practitioner and did not rely on opiates or any other material remedy. The dentist was also a student of Christian Science. I had no painful aftereffects, and the gums healed rapidly. I give credit for this entirely to Christian Science.

When visiting in the home of my daughter, I lost my balance while descending the stairs and fell headfirst seven steps to the floor, landing on my head and left shoulder. Although badly stunned, I was able to arise by myself and walk about the house until suddenly everything went black. I sat in a chair and was able to ask a member of the household to call a Christian Science practitioner for me. I took a few steps to the telephone, but being unable to stand I lay down on the floor. By this time the practitioner was on the telephone, which was handed to me, and I explained to her what had taken place. She responded with the emphatic declaration, "You are all right!" After a brief conversation I arose completely healed of the bad effects of the fall except for a small bruised spot above one ankle, which caused me no inconvenience whatever. Throughout the ordeal I held to "the scientific statement of being" as found on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
