Quite frequently checks and money orders are received by the Publishing Society with nothing to indicate whether the remittance is to be applied to subscriptions, advertising, or Journal cards, to mention a few of our accounts. This means that sometimes days are spent trying to determine where the money should be applied, and in the end, perhaps, the sender must be asked for further information, It instructions always accompany remittances, orders can be handled more promptly and correctly.
