My interest in Christian Science...
My interest in Christian Science was first awakened by a healing of a member of my family which I witnessed. Previous to that time I had been skeptical, if not definitely opposed to what I thought was Christian Science, but as I read and studied our textbook, Science and Health by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and her other writings, in conjunction with the Bible, I found that my skepticism and opposition were based on no other foundation than ignorance of what this Science really is.
For many years since that time I have relied on Christian Science to heal and sustain in all problems presented, and to the extent that I have followed the teachings of our revered Leader I have been richly rewarded.
It is my privilege to enjoy membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, to have had the inspiration of class instruction and the unfailing interest and help of a consecrated practitioner, for all of which I am deeply grateful. To our Leader, who has prepared for our acceptance this guide to the Science of true being, we owe eternal gratitude and allegiance.
