For many years I have been grateful to God for all the blessings that have come into my life through Christian Science.

My first healing was of an abscess in the ear, which was very painful. Since I knew little of Christian Science, a practitioner was called. The condition was met in one treatment. This healing took place about twenty years ago and has been permanent. It inspired me to find out just how it was accomplished.

At three o'clock one morning I suddenly awakened with the fear of death. I called a practitioner and said I felt as though I were passing on. Just what he said to me, I do not recall, but I was instantaneously healed. My mother, who was several miles away and knew nothing of this experience, told me the next day that she was awakened at the same hour and began to read from the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Another wonderful healing was that of a sprained ankle, which was also overcome in one treatment. When I heard the practitioner say, "Both cause and effect belong to God," the fear abated, and I attended a Christian Science lecture that same evening.
