It has long been my desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science in one of the periodicals. This Science has been my only physician for over thirty years and has always met my need when I have applied it faithfully. It was brought to my notice by my aunt, but at the time I did not feel the need of it, for I was physically strong and, as I thought, satisfied with life. However, I read the textbook. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which was presented to me, and accepted its teachings. I attended The Mother Church and eventually became a member.

As time went on and the loss of a member of my family made many changes in my life, I began to appreciate it more and to see proofs of the power of Christian Science to heal, even though I was many miles from a practitioner. At one time I was quite, ill with what appeared to be pneumonia and was healed by absent treatment.

There were many instances of protection for my family and myself. My son, who is now twenty-five ears old, has never known medical treatment. He has been healed many times. At one time he stepped on a nail, which penetrated his foot. Through clinginig to statements in Science and Health lie was able to wear his shoe and to be out playing the next day, with no further trouble from the foot. When he was twelve years old he became quite ill; he was unable to use his legs and was in constant pain. With the help of a consecrated practitioner he was completely healed. Recently, when lie was undergoing a physical examination for work, the examining physician asked him when he had had infantile paralysis and added that he was fortunate to be walking.
