I feel impelled to give written acknowledgment of the blessings and healings which have come to me through Christian Science.

As a young girl, I always relied on my mother to help me when in need, but when I was grown she passed on. Then I had to make this teaching my own, to remove my doubts and fears, and to prove for myself that Christian Science heals.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy we find this statement (p. 167): "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." This stood out as a beacon light to me when I was faced with all the phases of nervous prostration. Nights of sleeplessness, melancholia, and intense, fear seemed to engulf me. But through my own work and the loving and patient help of practitioners at different times, I was gradually freed by "radical reliance on Truth." I found peace, dominion, joy, a stronger faith in God and a conviction that Christian Science heals.
