I am most grateful for this opportunity to praise God by testifying to the healing and protecting power of Christian Science. I first started attending a Christian Science Sunday School when my brother was healed of pneumonia without the condition reaching a crisis. There I learned to understand and to appreciate something of the true nature of God as ever-present, ever-active divine Principle, Love, and of man as His reflection.

One outstanding healing which has always been an inspiration to me occurred many years ago when I was playing in a game of Rugby football in another city. During the course of the game I received a severe blow on my nose and was told that my nose was broken: certainly all the accompanying symptoms seemed to leave no doubt about it. However, a clear realization of the truth I had learned when at Sunday School, that man is held perfect in divine Love, came to my thought. I was able to continue playing, and when I came off the field, my nose was practically straight. When I reached home at night, no one could tell I had even been struck on the nose; and I was playing again the following week without any ill effect. That is only one of many wonderful experiences. I was healed overnight of a badly twisted knee and astonished one of my fellow players when he saw me running for a tramway car the next morning on my way to church.

Many other erroneous conditions of illness and discord have been overcome either through my own understanding of the truth of being or with the help of a Christian Science practitioner.
