It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude for the selfless love of The Mother Church and its adherents that I send this testimony as an expression of thanks for the helpful parcels which are aiding those of us who are refugees and homeless to overcome the seemingly very difficult postwar distress. These evidences of God's care are strengthening our trust in omnipresent Love and teaching us to find spiritual progress where there has seemed to he only great loss.

In 1939, when many people were fleeing from their homes, my youngest son and I remained where we were and were wonderfully protected. During air raids and whenever we were out walking we were conscious of the ever-present protection of our Father-Mother God.

When the persecution of Christian Scientists began, my name was on the black list, but I was not afraid. Except for two cherished books which always accompanied me, and which were always protected, my large supply of literature was taken from me.
