Before taking up the study of Christian Science twenty-five years ago, I suffered for many years from complicated internal troubles. I had tried many forms of medicine, but gained no permanent relief. On the advice of a specialist I had an operation, which also proved unsuccessful; in fact, for two years or more my life was one of continual worry and despondency.

While I was in this state, a friend acquainted me with Christian Science and also accompanied me to a practitioner. Through his consecrated work and my study of the Lesson-Sermons as given in the Christian Science Quarterly, a study which I took up at once, I gradually gained normal health, and the complications have entirely disappeared.

I have also been healed of the smoking and social drinking habits. The healing of these habits was instantaneous and took place over twenty-three years ago. I have never had the desire to return to either of them. I have also been healed of catarrh of the throat and of many other difficulties.
