On March 29, 1948, the Trustees of the Publishing Society offered delivery of The Christian Science Monitor by air to subscribers in the London, Los Angeles, and San Francisco areas on an experimental basis, and readers will be interested to learn of the progress of this plan.

To date approximately three hundred subscribers in the London area are receiving the Monitor by air, while the totals for the combined Los Angeles and San Francisco areas have not reached this figure.

We originally announced that the annual subscription rate would be $75 per year In air for the London area, but because of the growing acceptance of the plan there we have been able to reduce this rate to $52 per year, retroactive to March 29, 1948.

The present rate by air for the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas is $50 a war, and as the requests for Monitor subscriptions under this plan increase from these areas, we anticipate that they will also enjoy a reduction in the annual air subscription price. In this event, the lower rate will be made retroactive for those subscribing now or since last March 29, 1948.
